Rapid Recovery from Software/Hardware Failure
Virtual Computer NxTop enables rapid recover from both software and hardware issues. Most software issues can be instantly resolved just by rebooting the system, while hardware issues can be resolved with a quick migration to a new machine.

Viruses & Malware
NxTop has the ability to obliterate a virus or malware that might be downloaded by users just by rebooting the PC. The "golden image" is stored in an isolated and protected space, and when a user boots a NxTop powered PC, a copy of this image is used to boot the machine. If a virus or malware gets into the system, it will only be affecting the currently running copy, and will automatically be eliminated next time the PC is booted as a new copy is made from the original golden image.
Windows Crash
Users can quickly recover from a Windows crash or corruption by rebooting the machine as well. The principle here is the same as the rapid recovery capability described for viruses and malware. Because NxTop always keeps the protected golden image, if anything happens to Windows or to any of the software on the PC, rebooting resolves the issue by booting from the original, clean golden image.
Data Loss
NxTop has transparent automatic backup capabilities built into the platform to protect against data loss. Backups are performed in the background without disrupting the user, and in order to conserve bandwidth, only changed data blocks are sent to the server.
Hardware Failure
Hardware issues can be resolved by quickly migrating to a new machine—because the desktops are virtualized, they can be moved to any other machine with NxTop installed, even if the new machine has a different video card or other hardware components. As long as NxTop is installed, you don't have to worry about driver compatibility or other issues.
Recover on the Road
Employees that travel frequently can be armed with a USB Recovery Kit that allows them to quickly get productive even if their laptop gets destroyed. This kit contains NxTop Engine and their Virtual Desktops (but no user data) so that they can buy a PC from any local retailer and install the kit. After installing it, the user can then stream down their data from the backup server and be up and running again.
